answers to ??’s

Tim, I don’t think there is a vegetarian food shortage here, you may not be able to find tofu and non-meat proteins, but there is plenty of fruits…the eggs are particuarly good.
There are so many crazy birds here…I think you would overload on the input!

Mom, the church does fill up on Sunday’s according to Fr Robert. Hoima is actually pretty big.

Couple more days and then it is time to trek the Gorillas in Uganda, then in Rwanda.

In Fort Portal

It is Sunday afternoon now…

Last night, after a very long drive, we got to Kabali NP, where our FIVE guides (yes linda and I have five guys taking care of us!) had our private camp set up. It was very refreshing to sleep outdoors! I got the best night’s sleep so far. Even with the monkeys making noises.
Early in the AM we headed off to go chimp trekking in the NP. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see a troop, but we did see four individuals. The last was the best, a mom and baby. We sat and watched them for at least 30min. Afternoon we hiked back out and had lunch before driving back to Fort Portal. It was nice to be hiking…the first real activity since we have been in Africa. The chimps where amazing! between Linda and I, I’m sure we got at least a few good pics, since the forest was very dark it was difficult (will post another day).

Chris, are you getting the emails I’m sending you?

Tim, Linda took a bunch of pics of butterflies! There were tons of different colored ones.

Felix, I’m not sure what she meant by ’strong’ beef, since I didn’t taste it. Since then though she has gotten used to it and says it is good. btw, when is your last day of work? Don’t leave town before I get back!

We don’t have long, as our guide went shopping for food supplies in town before we head down to Queen Elizibeth NP.

Last full day in Hoima

Tmr we start our safari with “Magic Safari”, they are to pick us up in the AM. Not sure when the next internet stop will be. Enjoy the pics in the previous post.

Today we toured several schools, seminary and parish and met practically everyone. Schools start this Monday so they are mostly empty except for the childern that came early.

Chris, sorry about the ‘presents’ :( -sigh- Tibbs is just lonely.

No spigit meat for me…linda says the beef is super strong. The chicken is good. Bananas are good. We both have been eating very light.

Dad, No bugs or snakes…at least not yet.
